Rating: - I thought it would be something, it was not something
I like the idea behind these pencils. I hope that they can get it right. The following problems were observed:

1. the price was $5.00 for the same item (12 in all) recently ($6.99 usually) at a big box store (rhymes with "graples")
2. the eraser broke when I unwisely included one in my CSET (state credentialing test) and I really needed an eraser (I had a twist-erase, thank heavens)

Rating: - Wonderful for children and adults
I homeschool my children, so I'm the one teaching them pencil grip and how to write. For that purpose, these pencils are wonderful. They are very light and short, so their hands don't tire too quickly; they are mechanical, which teaches them not to press too hard; and the best part is that they are standard size, so teaching grips fit them -- they are the only mechanical pencils I have found that the grips will fit.

these pencils always get a double-take. they get noticed, but not very practical.

as an engineering student, i use a lot of pencils. unfortunately that also means i use a lot of erasers. these pencils have tiny erasers. they look the same size as wooden pencil erasers, but they are hollowed out to make room for the lead tube. Rating: - Good inexpensive pencils
However, the erasers wear out quickly and you can't stick an eraser top on the pencil because you won't be able to advance the lead.
