- Great PencilThis is a unique pencil. I like it since it has a cap that covers the pencil when not in use and it serves as a button advancement when the pencil is in use. This is a classic design and thought out with deep consideration by Pentel. My only wish is that the lead thicknesses supported could be more than just 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm. I would love to see a 0.9 mm version someday.

- Best Pencil for the money...The Pentel Kerry is simply one of the best mechanical pencils that one can buy for any price. It feeds reliably, writes well and is well balanced and comfortable in the hand. The red, especially, stands out in a briefcase or bag making it easy to find. If you use mechanical pencils for writing, piloting or drafting and need a fine line you cannot go wrong with this one.

- Comfortable, finely made, and moderately pricedThis is an excellent choice for those of you who are simply trying to scribe a line here and there, and need a reliable, not too ugly pencil. Be sure to replace the lead that comes with it, with a hi-polymer lead, also available from Pentel.
Unlike many mechanical pencils, this also travels well. It doesn't tend to fall apart when you toss it into a bag and ship it somewhere. So far, I've also been able to stow it in a pants pocket without a problem.

- Most FavoriteI have this pencil in a .5 and a .7.
I am an illustrator, with all of my line work being done in pencil. I have put hundreds of hours on this pencil. Still hanging in there, still doing a great job.
Plus, LOOK at it. It's easy on the eyes. The size of the barrel is really nice. I love the cap that you take off and move.
I have backups of this pencil in both lead sizes for the day they die. If experience is to be believed, that won't be for a very long time.

- A Classic!I'm an accountant and have used this model pencil on a daily basis for 20 years. Its very comfortable and well made. The cap prevents the tip from poking though your pocket or bending. It is all metal so if you like rubber grips look elsewhere.
