Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Basically unusable
I have used other Waterman pens for several years. This was the first one I bought that I had to return. The pen had to be positioned in exactly one position or it did not produce a proper width stroke. It was basically unusable. All my other Watermans do not have this problem. They are more expensive but I assume that it is not strictly price dependent. Perhaps I just received a poorly manufactured one. I will be reordering to see if another one works properly.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Last's A Lifetime
I bought this pen in a kit about 8 years ago. I have never had a problem. This pen writes beautifully and the ink flows well. It is very expensive looking, yet is pretty economical. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another in a minute. I may buy my kids one as a gift.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good value for the money
I bought this pen to replace my favorite pen, a Waterman Charleston, that I accidentally left at an airport security checkpoint. I also don't care for the snap-on cap (my previous experience suggests that it will eventually wear out and the cap won't stay on) - I much preferred ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Spectacularly good low-priced pen
I have been extraordinarily pleased with this pen. It writes incredibly smoothly with just the right amount of ink flow. While that is to be expected from a pen selling for four times the amount of this one, it is rare -- very rare -- to achieve it in one of this level. Moreover, it quite attractive. I could not be more pleased with it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Looks nice, quality is nothing special
I have a Sheaffer which I got for half the price, and that actually works a little better. This Waterman doesn't quite flow as well.

Waterman added a metal tube to the inside, but it's just a tube they dropped in (and maybe glued?); the metal tube is not part of the pen's general structure. Most of it is plastic, including all screw threads.

The pocket clip looks like it is supposed to taper down and level off with the curve of the cap, but it sticks out a little. Not bad, ... Read More
