I have been buying these for years. The ink is a distinctive blue, vibrant and has a slight sheen. It is very recognizeable, and I could not do without these to refill my beautiful Waterman Fountain Pen.

Rating: - Nice black ink; not for 2-sided writing on bad paper
This is a medium-dark black ink. Its consistency is a bit thinner than Pelikan/Cross Black and Noodler's (also misspelled as Noodlers) Black. Waterman Black feels good during writing. It is not good for two-sided writing on bad paper. It is not very water-resistant, and it is not safe for writing checks or signing important documents.
